There isn’t anything wrong with crooked teeth, nor stretch marks, nor imperfections in your physical appearance. The braces, the surgery, and the make up don’t ‘fix’ anything - they just change or hide things. They allow you to run.
I like to believe an ugly heart doesn’t last forever - that an ugly heart is possessed merely by someone who has lived and has been weathered and needs time to recover and rebuild. There is no immediate ‘fix’ because you can’t run from something that is within you, something that IS you at that moment.
And in the end I don’t believe it’s ugly at all. There is beauty in human struggle because we all, at some point, will experience it, and eventually, one day, we will overcome it.
